SUPERVISION OF MINORS POLICY
We love kids and are excited to welcome them to the world of climbing. We welcome children from 5 years of age with appropriate supervision.
Climbing is a sport that comes with a risk of injury. Whilst steps have been made to make things as safe as possible, it is vital that all children are supervised properly to minimise the risk.
Whilst they can appear similar to softplay or play parks, bouldering centres are a lot more dangerous and require much closer attention and supervision. You must therefore be with your child at all times.
One of the most risky elements to children is when moving around the centre. Supervisors must be aware of all risks and fall zones at all times.
All children under the age of 16 must be supervised at all times, with the exceptions of those who have completed our junior competency test which is available for children with suitable experience.
If you wish to supervise under 16s you must have registered, watched the Safety video, completed the independent climber assessment.
For those individual who do not wish to climb themselves it is possible to learn the necessary supervision skills by attending
a Family Induction. Please contact the centre for more details on Family Induction courses.
